The Head Case Website - Athlete Profile
The Head Case Website serves as the centralized hub for the Head Health Management System, offering a comprehensive information resource for traumatic brain injury information, case studies and relevant news.
Each registered athlete has his/her own encrypted Athlete Profile on the site where the athlete's hits and concussion symptom test results are confidentially stored and managed. The athlete can login via the online or mobile site to view hit count, impact data and other reports.
This personalized record provides the athlete as well as parents, coaches and medical providers with a comprehensive record of head impacts received during the sports career of the athlete.
By analyzing athlete data on the Head Case Website, the sports community can continue to gain a better understanding of repetitive subconcussive impacts, as well as concussion symptoms and the events that led to them. This provides a robust explanation of how and why concussions happen.
How It Works
Once the Head Case Impact Sensor is registered on the Head Case Website, all data collected from the Head Case Impact Sensor and Head Case Mobile App is stored on the Head Case Website in the user’s Athlete Profile in the Cloud.
If a hit occurs that is above the individual athlete's or national average thresholds, an alert is sent to all emergency parties identified by the user in their Athlete Profile. Alerts advise the athlete to be screened for concussion symptoms and also provide information on the best medical treatment facilities in the athlete's current location.
When evaluating the best action to take for a player, the Athlete Profile can be reviewed to provide a comprehensive head health record of an athlete. An athlete, parent or coach may also chose to run a report based on the athlete's impact data as compared to other teammates or national averages. A list of analytic reports will be provided as part of the base subscription fee.
