Scott McIntyre, CSO/VP Marketing
A competitive athlete even now, Scott actually grew up with the original Head Case, Dan Nicholson, in a somewhat rural area on the Great Lakes where their time was spent mostly testing the limits of their bodies, from water skiing to ice hockey to motorbikes. And while Scott's two children have clearly inherited that competitiveness, they're not quite at the age (5 and 10) where sports pose a problem yet. So, when Dan approached Scott for assistance in building a sustainable business around his vision to protect young athletes’ brains, he saw no other option but to drop other projects and join his childhood friend and lifelong compatriot in a goal worthy of all their time.
As founder and chairman of strategy & capital services firm Phabriq Development, Scott has been a thought leader on technology's impact on business and culture for nearly 20 years. Scott managed the State of Ohio's Business Incubation program from the University of Toledo where he consults the College of Engineering on technology commercialization and entrepreneurship. Scott was a founding member of the Crowdfunding Professional Association and currently serves as Vice President of the board of directors.
Scott joined in the founding of the Head Case Company with the goal of getting Head Case sensors protecting kids playing competitive sports everywhere. He believes that harnessing the power of the Crowd to increase awareness and viability of this movement not only keeps the cost affordable for all, but gives peace of mind to parents and those who benefit the most. And leading our Marketing efforts, he hopes to be thanking you for your support soon.
